Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Smith

Elizabeth Ann Smith, 91 of Cedar Bluff, VA passed away on January 31, 2018 due to natural causes.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church 14715 Dismal River Road Pilgrims Knob, VA 24634. Clyde Wimmer of Baptist Bible Church will be officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Singleton’s Funeral Home in Cedar Bluff, VA.

Anne was born in Hurley, VA on January 31, 1927. She was married to the love or her life William Alvie Smith for over 33 years. Ann worked as a cook at The Rainbow Restaurant in Vansant, VA and The Grundy Drive-In Grundy, VA. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She spent lots of time spoiling her nieces and nephews.

Ann is survived by one brother; Donald Coleman of Winston Salem, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Mary Coleman, her husband William Alvie Smith, and siblings; Jimmie Rife, James Russell Coleman, Betty Jean Garrett, Lydia Pugh, Harold C. Coleman, Jesse Coleman Jr., Norma Sue Simpson, Ronald Coleman, and Brenda Sanders.

The family would like to extend a special thank you the Don Rita Rife and Sandra and Bill Horn for taking such great care of Ann in these later years. Also, we would like to thank Tina Lester who works for Appalachian Agency. She has worked with Ann for over eight years.
